National Grid Posts
Tertiary training in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine (PRM) is available in the UK via the National Grid system. Entry to the National Grid is by competitive interview on a national basis annually, with interviews in March and appointments commencing in September. Entry to the PRM Grid can be at the beginning of year 3 or year 4 at present, although a year 4 entrant will need to have had experience of the specialty in year 3.
Grid Posts available for Paediatric Respiratory Training September 2005
Adverts for these posts will appear in BMJ on 1st and 8th January. Closing date for applications will be 31st January. The interviews will be held in London between 14th March to 8th April. Application forms (for use after the posts have been advertised) can be found at the postgraduate institute for medicine and denstistry website.
Notice that trainees can enter some programmes at year 3. Most/all programmes would expect trainees to take time out to undertake research leading to a higher degree.
